Conclusions HS2 provides significant connectivity benefits for WM Providing the right connectivity to HS2 will:  Ensure effective access to both the HS2 Network and associated development from the across  Support growth across the wider region  Improve intra-LEP connectivity between towns and cities to favour access to employment and services  Better match labour supply/demand across the West Midlands thanks to greater mobility  Make best use of capacity released by HS2 on the existing rail network  Release capacity on the road network by transferring passenger and freight trips to rail and public transport links
