apprenticeships.
How did you get this job?
Dropped out of university went to do a
performing arts degree. Left college at 18 and
quickly realized that there were a lot of people
wanting to become famous but very few jobs
in the art industry available.
Apprenticeship with local theatre who has
been expelled or about to.
So she was trained as a county council youth
worker become to put the teenagers on stage rather than herself. Became a freelancer.
Worked in the council as an events manager.
As amy was doing events she quickly went up in the hierachy to front of house.
Came to the junction as a front of house a manager.
Theatre manager is mostly about looking after technicians and backstage. And front of
house is mostly based on looking after stewards and duty management. So amy became
theatre manager that lasted to the end of 2007.
Became a director of operations 2 years ago.
Does a lot of work with Arts theatre.
How long have you been working here ?
Have been working here for 4 years.
Leave the Junction with very good jobs.
Many people espically technical crew Multi skilled because of working in Clubs, Gigs, live
music.
Technical crew in great demand.
Junction Venues
3 sections - Junction 1 is the Main and the original junction
Section 2 is the main theatre
Section 3 is for gigs.

2. What a normal day consist of ? Start work at 10 flex time.
Monday morning to do wages cash from weekend have time sheets so weeklyʼs can be
produced by the finance department.
Operations meeting last for 1 hour to 1 hour and a half events reporting from night before
to know if audience went to A&E or any health problems were involved.
Technical difficulties.
Managers meeting within operation management.
2 hours of time talking to technical staff and management.
Meet with the boss.
