THE INVESTIGATOR (ALEX)
FADE IN: FIRST SHOT OF RYAN
SCENE (1)- SHOT TYPE- 180 CIRCULAR PAN (5SECS)
Camera moves around Ryan’s head using a slow & fast
edit. Sounds of voiceover heavy breathing.
SCENE (2)- SHOT TYPE- MID SHOT (10 SECS)
Ryan in the studio, black backdrop and high ray
spotlights on him. Talking to a private
investigator, direct address to camera.
Dialogue- I woke up and she was gone. Just
gone. You’ve got to find my wife… You need
to find out where she’s gone, track her down
do what you ever you have to do just find
her, please.
SCENE (3) - SHOT TYPE- VOICEOVER SHOT, ALEX
Dialogue- On the night prior to you discovering your wife
was missing was she acting strangely or out of character at
all. Think back Mr. Miller about the events of that day and
how your wife was behaving.
SCENE (4) - SHOT TYPE- MEDIUM CLOSE UP MATCH ON
ACTION FROM SCENE 5 TO ALEX
Dialogue- No, no nothing! She was fine and I thought we
were happy. I don’t know would she do this to me?
SCENE (5) - SHOT TYPE-
Dialogue- I need you to be entirely honest and open for me
to be able to carry out my standard investigation protocols
and to increase the chances of me being able to track down
your wife and ensure she is safe. (SHORT PAUSE) How long
have you and Mrs Miller been married?
SCENE (6) - SHOT TYPE-
Dialogue- 4 years. 4 happily married years.
I’ve known Mia since we were teens, we did

everything together we were happy. Although…
SCENE (7) - SHOT TYPE-
Dialogue- Although what?
SCENE (8) - SHOT TYPE-
Dialogue- She has seemed distant lately
SCENE (9) - SHOT TYPE-
Dialogue- Distant how exactly?
SCENE (10) - SHOT TYPE- SIGHS BEGINS TO GET ANGRY
Dialogue- I don’t know. Uh, she’s just not
been herself recently, coming home from work
slightly later than usual, not always eating
dinner with me and I’ve caught her a few
times making phone calls discretely but I’ve
always just shrugged it off. Look, I didn’t
think it was anything to worry about.
(PAUSE) Until now.
SCENE (11) - SHOT TYPE- SIGHS BEGINS TO GET ANGRY
Dialogue- Okay. (SHOT SHOWS HIM THINKING
TAKING IN THE EVIDENCE) So did you ever
argue or disagree on anything in the last
few weeks of your wife being at home. I need
you to think back, think back to the last
few days, weeks or even months with your
wife.
SCENE (12) - SHOT TYPE- MID SHOT OF RYAN THEN TURNS
INTO VOICEOVER
Dialogue- We did have one argument. I was
just so angry at her… (Continue with script
between poppy and Ryan)

SCENE (13) - SHOT TYPE- NEW SHOT
Dialogue- Mr Miller I have collected
together the documents I have been able to
access including some bank statements,
places she has been seen in and other
documents suggesting her whereabouts. Here
take a look, see if you recall any of these
names or places.
SCENE (14) - SHOT TYPE-
Dialogue- Wait what, hotel
reservations, meals out and working
in London? It’s like I’ve lost her.
If she seeing someone else I will
never forgive her for this. Please
find her I have to speak to her and
get the bottom of this.
SCENE (15) - SHOT TYPE-
Dialogue- From this evidence I was able to
find some significant evidence in locating
Mrs Miller. She was caught on CCTV in
Central London on the 11th
of January. (READS
OUT TO RYAN) First bank statement; 11
hundred hours transaction for one single
room to The Mayfair hotel on Stratton
Street.
13th
January 17 hundred hours £275 payment to
Selfridges located on Oxford Street. (STATE VARYING
PAYMENTS TO HOTELS AND SHOPS THEN MUMOUR IN EDITING
CUTTING TO SHOT OF RYAN AND PAN SHOT ROUND HIS
HEAD)
This last detail may be quite shocking for you.
Your wife transacted £10,000 through to an
individual’s account. The receiver of the money was
initially an unidentifiable identity however we
have discovered the payment went into an
individual’s name under the name of Ms Mia Bramley.

SCENE (16) - SHOT TYPE-
Dialogue- (INTERUPTS) bramely? Mia
Bramley. Who is this woman?
SCENE (17) - SHOT TYPE-
Dialogue- Wait. Let me finish.
On the 23rd
January 13 hundred hours a further
£13,000 pounds was taken from your bank account and
transacted directly to Ms Mia Bramleys account.
These funds were then almost immediately drawn out
at an ATM machine on Bond Street in West London. I
know this is a lot to take in but I’ve managed to
retrieve some CCTV footage of Ms. Bramely drawing
out the money. However I am yet to identity her
record on our databases. It seems her identity is
somewhat being concealed. Look at this image, do
you recognize this woman?
SCENE (18) - SHOT TYPE-
Dialogue- I don’t know any of
Blake’s friends, or distant
relatives. I won’t be able to tell
you who it is or if it’s a complete
stranger. I won’t be identity.. WAIT
that’s Blake? That’s my wife I know
it is.
SCENE (19) - SHOT TYPE-
Dialogue- Mr Miller this is a serious piece of
evidence are you indisputable that the individual
in this image is your wife if so what this…
6. 6
(WHATS BEEN PLANNED- NEED TO CHECK IF THIS WILL WORK- IS IT
BELIEABLE DILOGUE I DON’T THINK ITS DRAMTIC ENOUGH)
Dialogue- What this exhibit shows is that your wife
in question Mrs Miller seems to be impersonating a
false identity and is fraudulently has assumed by
the identity of Ms Bramley carrying out identity
theft. Mr Miller, this is a very serious crime and
could account to your wife being prosecuted and
sent to jail.
SCENE (21) - SHOT TYPE-
Dialogue- Fraudelent? Idenity? What
Why. And my money… all of my money
(hands into head)
