3. STaR Part I – Teaching and Learning
• BMS has been at the Advanced Technology
level for the past 3 years.
• According to the TEA STaR chart this means
most teachers are capable of using technology
in their classrooms to aide in the instruction of
students.
4. STaR Part II – Educator Preparation and
Development
• BMS has been rated at the Advanced
Technology level for the past 3 years.
• This means that most teachers receive better
than average training in how to use the
technology tools available to them.
5. STaR Part III – Leadership,
Administration, and Instructional
Support
• Over the past 3 years, BMS has moved from
the Advanced Technology rating to the much
more desirable Target Technology rating.
• This means that we have superior support
from administration in implementing
technology including purchasing new
technology for the classroom.
6. STaR Part IV – Infrastructure for
Technology
• Over the past 3 years, BMS has moved from
the Advanced Technology rating to the much
more desirable Target Technology rating.
• Our campus has far better than average
technology accessibility for teachers and
students.
