The aim of the ticTOCs project is to develop a service which will transform journal current awareness by making it easy for academics and researchers to find , display , store , combine and reuse tables of contents from multiple publishers in a personalisable web based environment.

Enable academics and researchers, without having to understand the technical or procedural concepts involved in the process, find, access, search within, be alerted to, aggregate, personalise, export and re-use journal TOCs. Facilitate the re-use of TOC content by individuals and subject-based services, library services, VLEs, etc, to help showcase research output, and deliver relevant content to researchers. Enable library and information services (e.g. from journal lists), commercial and open access journal publishers, gateways, content aggregators and journal directories to allow their users to embed journal TOCs, with one click, into ticTOCs.
