2. How can I help?
Role of teacher: My role as teacher will be to make sure
that the students are learning this material the best
they can. I will be sure to update parents on their
students progress in the class room
Role of Student: the role of student will be to make
sure they understand the material and are responsible
for getting their project in on time.
Role of Parent: the role of the parents is to make sure
their child is completing the assignment and make
sure their child understands what they are supposed to
do.
3. Learning style
Project-based learning is a way to incorporate
technology into teaching in a way that students will
understand. PBL involves the students and allows
them to get a better understanding of the curriculum.
By giving students this project, I am having my
students present their project and what they learned
in a more creative way rather than taking a test
4. Questions:
EQ: How have species adapted to their environment
UQ: What is special about turtles?
CQ: Why do turtles hide in their shells? What are a few
different types of turtles? How long can they hold
their breath?
5. Projects in the Classroom
This project is about species and how they have adapted in
our environment. Recently in class we having been
learning about the different types of turtles and fun
interesting facts about them. The standards for the
students will be to share different facts about a specific
turtle that I will assign. The student is to learn the turtles
color, where it lives, what it eats and if it prefers land or
water. The objective is to see where turtles prefer to live and
why and if they are cold or warm blooded.
Benefits of this project is to learn and share different fun
and unique facts about the turtle each student is assigned
to. Later on in the school year we are taking a field trip to
an aquarium to see different types of turtles.
