HOW DID WE GET HERE? New Teacher’s Contract 2010  Mandated that teachers and administrators meet to discuss current teacher evaluation tool Education Reform  Performance Evaluation Reform Act (PERA)  This act incorporated state-wide standards, student growth and mandatory trainings, all with timelines

DUNLAP FRAMEWORK FOR TEACHING Based on the work of Charlotte Danielson  Considered a ‘best practice’ in education Focuses on four domains of the profession:  Planning and Preparation  Classroom Environment  Instruction  Professional Responsibilities Provides a common language of assessment Focuses upon self-reflection and conversation
