Quick Review: 
1. Notebook: (By Monday, your first notebook grade) 
a) 3 subject or > 
b) No composition, folder, or loose-leaf binder type 
2. Get gmail address 
3. My email: v6math@gmail.com 
4. Name Test Friday: (Last 15 min. of class)
Today: 
1. Diagnostic Test 
a) Is now 50% off 
b) Only Freshman may be moved between Pre & Alg. 
c) For non-freshmen, a score of < 80% = required 
tutoring at lunch or after school. (Math dept. and 
upper classmen will be tutors. 
d) Tutoring will continue until score > 80 % is achieved.
Before the Test: 
1. Complete the gathering of names and data for all. 
Strategies for learning: 
a) Involve as many senses as possible 
b) Writing has a far greater impact on your memory than 
either hearing or seeing. If you want to remember 
something, write it down. 
Do your own writing of names. 
c) Repeat classmates names out loud to yourself. 
d) During the roll call, look and repeat their name. 
e) Seating Charts encouraged. Very helpful for this activity.
