Gather is an annual week-long festival at the University of Edinburgh celebrating culture, community, and global citizenship. In 2014, Gather hosted 52 events, including 23 student-run events and 17 staff-run events. The festival engaged over 10,000 students via email and over 11,000 via Facebook. Gather highlights the university's values of bringing people together from diverse backgrounds and cultivating connections. It reflects the growing internationalization and collaboration at the university. The foundation built by Gather in recent years has established values and identity that the university can continue to build on in the future.
