Signs that Do Not Make Sense

1 Corinthians 2:7-8 NKJV (7) But we speak the wisdom of God in
a mystery, the hidden wisdom which God ordained before the
ages for our glory, (8) which none of the rulers of this age knew;
for had they known, they would not have crucified the Lord of
glory.

Hebrews 12:2 NKJV looking unto Jesus, the author and
finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before
Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has
sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Isaiah 53:3-5 NKJV He is despised and rejected by
men, A Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief. And
we hid, as it were, our faces from Him; He was
despised, and we did not esteem Him. (4) Surely He
has borne our griefs And carried our sorrows; Yet we
esteemed Him stricken, Smitten by God, and afflicted.
(5) But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was
bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our
peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.

John 19:1 NKJV So then Pilate took Jesus and scourged Him.

John 19:2-5 NKJV And the soldiers twisted a crown of thorns and
put it on His head, and they put on Him a purple robe. (3) Then
they said, "Hail, King of the Jews!" And they struck Him with
their hands. (4) Pilate then went out again, and said to
them, "Behold, I am bringing Him out to you, that you may know
that I find no fault in Him." (5) Then Jesus came out, wearing
the crown of thorns and the purple robe. And Pilate said to
them, "Behold the Man!”

Isaiah 52:14 ESV As many were astonished at
you-- his appearance was so marred, beyond
human semblance, and his form beyond that of
the children of mankind--

Him to them to be crucified. Then
they took Jesus and led Him away.

Mark 15:20-32 NKJV And when they had mocked Him, they took
the purple off Him, put His own clothes on Him, and led Him out
to crucify Him. (21) Then they compelled a certain man, Simon a
Cyrenian, the father of Alexander and Rufus, as he was coming out
of the country and passing by, to bear His cross. (22) And they
brought Him to the place Golgotha, which is translated, Place of a
Skull. (23) Then they gave Him wine mingled with myrrh to
drink, but He did not take it. (24) And when they crucified
Him, they

Mark 15:20-32 continued divided His garments, casting lots for them
to determine what every man should take. (25) Now it was the
third hour, and they crucified Him. (26) And the inscription of His
accusation was written above: THE KING OF THE JEWS. (27) With
Him they also crucified two robbers, one on His right and the other
on His left. (28) So the Scripture was fulfilled which says, "AND
HE WAS NUMBERED WITH THE TRANSGRESSORS.” (29) And
those who passed by blasphemed Him, wagging their heads and

Mark 15:20-32 continued saying, "Aha! You who destroy the temple
and build it in three days, (30) save Yourself, and come down from
the cross!" (31) Likewise the chief priests also, mocking among
themselves with the scribes, said, "He saved others; Himself He
cannot save. (32) Let the Christ, the King of Israel, descend now
from the cross, that we may see and believe." Even those who were
crucified with Him reviled Him.

place, a hill called Offered Him Crucified Him –
the “Skull” vinegar (sour Nailed his hands
• KJV – incorrectly wine) and myrrh – and feet (3 of four
translates Luke Jesus refused??? piercings)
23:33 “Calvary”

John 19:23-24 NKJV Then the soldiers, when they had
crucified Jesus, took His garments and made four parts, to
each soldier a part, and also the tunic. Now the tunic was
without seam, woven from the top in one piece. (24) They
said therefore among themselves, "Let us not tear it, but cast
lots for it, whose it shall be," that the Scripture might be
fulfilled which says: "THEY DIVIDED MY GARMENTS
AMONG THEM, AND FOR MY CLOTHING THEY CAST
LOTS.”[Ps. 22:18] Therefore the soldiers did these things.

(41) And we indeed justly, for we receive the due reward of our
deeds; but this Man has done nothing wrong." (42) Then he said
to Jesus, "Lord, remember me when You come into Your
kingdom." (43) And Jesus said to him, "Assuredly, I say to
you, today you will be with Me in Paradise.”

Family at the Cross (3rd Saying)

John 19:25-27 NKJV Now there stood by the cross of Jesus His
mother, and His mother's sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and
Mary Magdalene. (26) When Jesus therefore saw His
mother, and the disciple whom He loved standing by, He said to
His mother, "Woman, behold your son!" (27) Then He said to
the disciple, "Behold your mother!" And from that hour that
disciple took her to his own home.

Mark 10:33-34 NKJV "Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and
the Son of Man will be betrayed to the chief priests and to the
scribes; and they will condemn Him to death and deliver Him to
the Gentiles; (34) and they will mock Him, and scourge
Him, and spit on Him, and kill Him. And the third day He will
rise again.”
Matthew 26:28 NKJV For this is My blood of the new
covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.
