  • 5. What do you have? Are your collections historically significant? unique? useful?
  • 6. Prioritize When plotting your project consider condition and need
  • 7. Step Two Assemble your team!
  • 8. Who will do the work? Research * Metadata* Technology Grants * Coordination
  • 9. Step Three Learn the ropes
  • 10. Start small, then expand Learn and establish best practices with finite projects.
  • 11. Organization File management and preservation is mandatory

  • 14. Finances It’s hard, but not impossible
  • 15. Avoid getting stuck Don’t forget to budget time as well!
