Originality and creativity ppt

  1. 1. Originality and Creativity Decision-Making
  2. 2. ThemeI picked the theme “Enterprise” because it was basic but also very bold and eye-catching. I didn’t choose a very colourful theme because I thought it would takeaway from the actual content of my website, which would be counterproductive. The images on the website are sufficient to get attention and add colour, so I didn’tthink that a colourful theme was needed.I also thought that the font that came with the theme (fonts cannot be changed) wasvery simple and ‘professional’, so I decided the use this theme.
  3. 3. Webpage Layout - HomepageI used this layout with the banner for the homepage because it would give a strongimpression. It also has images of different sports and the Paralympic logo tointroduce the audience to what the website is about.
  4. 4. Webpage Layout – InformationMost of the information pages are laid out with images on the left and text on theright. I chose this layout because I wanted the pages to be more exciting and eye-catching with images, but didn’t want them sprinkled throughout the text. Using the“Columns” element, I put all the images to one side. The “History” and “Hong Kong inthe Paralympics” pages are laid out like this. The “Paralympic Movement” page is notbecause no images can successfully convey its message without repeating imagesfrom the other pages.
  5. 5. Webpage Layout – Sports ListingI used this layout to list all the different sports, because the image would allow peopleto get a first impression of the events, and it’s in a grid format for it to be neat. Thehyperlinks are also hidden from the drop-down menu to make it neater. The links arealso in alphabetical order, which makes it easy to navigate.
  6. 6. Webpage Layout – Sports PageThe individual sports pages all begin with a video of their respective sports. Everythingis in one column only. The articles are “Rules”, “Equipment”, “Events” and“Classifications”. Some pages only have the “Events” and “Classifications” or “Rules”and “Classifications” articles because the “Equipment” article does not apply.
  7. 7. ColourI chose this monochromatic colour schemebecause it looked professional but also eye-catching. The contrast makes the text more boldand easy to read.
  8. 8. Site NavigationUnfortunately, the search tool is only availablefor pro users, which meant that I could not addthe search function to my website. However, thedrop-down menu and hyperlink listing (inalphabetical order) should be easy enough tonavigate.
