      Decision-Making
Theme

I picked the theme “Enterprise” because it was basic but also very bold and eye-
catching. I didn’t choose a very colourful theme because I thought it would take
away from the actual content of my website, which would be counterproductive.
The images on the website are sufficient to get attention and add colour, so I didn’t
think that a colourful theme was needed.

I also thought that the font that came with the theme (fonts cannot be changed) was
very simple and ‘professional’, so I decided the use this theme.
Webpage Layout - Homepage

I used this layout with the banner for the homepage because it would give a strong
impression. It also has images of different sports and the Paralympic logo to
introduce the audience to what the website is about.
Webpage Layout – Information

Most of the information pages are laid out with images on the left and text on the
right. I chose this layout because I wanted the pages to be more exciting and eye-
catching with images, but didn’t want them sprinkled throughout the text. Using the
“Columns” element, I put all the images to one side. The “History” and “Hong Kong in
the Paralympics” pages are laid out like this. The “Paralympic Movement” page is not
because no images can successfully convey its message without repeating images
from the other pages.
Webpage Layout – Sports Listing

I used this layout to list all the different sports, because the image would allow people
to get a first impression of the events, and it’s in a grid format for it to be neat. The
hyperlinks are also hidden from the drop-down menu to make it neater. The links are
also in alphabetical order, which makes it easy to navigate.
Webpage Layout – Sports Page

The individual sports pages all begin with a video of their respective sports. Everything
is in one column only. The articles are “Rules”, “Equipment”, “Events” and
“Classifications”. Some pages only have the “Events” and “Classifications” or “Rules”
and “Classifications” articles because the “Equipment” article does not apply.
Colour
I chose this monochromatic colour scheme
because it looked professional but also eye-
catching. The contrast makes the text more bold
and easy to read.
Site Navigation
Unfortunately, the search tool is only available
for pro users, which meant that I could not add
the search function to my website. However, the
drop-down menu and hyperlink listing (in
alphabetical order) should be easy enough to
navigate.
