Country Commercial Manager
IKEA Food
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
You secure that IKEA FOOD is used as a commercial marketing tool in your country. Among
other tasks, this involves generating store traffic, converting visitors to customers, contribute to a
day out for the whole family, strengthen the low-price profile and the Swedish identity of the
IKEA store.
Reports to: IKEA FOOD Country Manager
YOUR ASSIGNMENT Your tasks will include:
 Increase the conversion rate/volume growth.
 Support the stores in their commercial range presentation including
merchandising platform implementation, low price, Swedishness, sales steering, etc.
Develop a thorough activities plan for the Country in line with the commercial
strategy of IKEA FOOD and Country marketing activities.
 Ensure the level and standards of the commercial areas of IKEA FOOD.
 Set goals and develop themes and activities in the IKEA FOOD Commercial
calendar in cooperation with IKEA FOOD Country Manager.
 Communication development, including product communication materials for
the national range,
 Develop and support the implementation of sales and marketing strategies both
externally and in-store.
 Within all IKEA FOOD business units securing a competitive price distance to
competitors on all local markets
 Support and coach the Commercial Managers in the stores
YOUR PROFILE Your knowledge, skills and experience include:
 An understanding of food market, including customers and the strengths and
weaknesses of local competition.
 Able to speak and understand both verbal and written English at Business level.
 Good communicative skills and high energy in motivating, inspiring and developing
people (matrix reports).
 Ability to establish effective working relationships across the country and
internationally.
 A genuine interest in Retailing and a curiosity and passion about Food.
 Ability to adapt product and process to fit the IKEA FOOD operation and strategies.
 Has business overview, analytical skills and tactical thinking.
 A passion to create sales and to satisfy customers.
 Ability to evaluate ideas from a commercial viewpoint.
 Strong drive, a problem solving approach and challenge diverse topics.
 Shows creativity and multi tasking skills coupled with ability to meet tight deadlines.
 Interest in life at home and home furnishings.
