Last week I attended a running clinic by Norrie Williamson. He said something to the effect that running doesn’t cause injuries.
Running reveals bad habits that we havepicked up over time. Like sitting at a computer all day long. Sitting at the wrong angle facing the computer. Driving everywhere and not walking. Poor sleeping patterns. Incorrect running technique.
Wrong shoes. And, so on.
Essentially, running reveals our flaws.

Be the change you
want to see
If you want to see change with your
naked eye then start by changing
yourself the universe will then
automatically change. Do not end up
suffering because you fail to make a
choice and determine what kind of life you
will aspire. Many people are stuck in life
because they want to change the universe
before they can change themselves. Take
life easy and do not loose focus on your
way to success. Be proud of yourself,
don’t wait for someone to tell you how
special you are. Dust yourself off each
day, don’t look back push hard until the
door opens. People can change but the
problem lies in the way they think. If you
think you can change the universe you can
change yourself. Make each day count in
life do not let your situation block your way
to the top rather fall forward than fall
backwards. One day you will accomplish
all of your aspirations.

Life’sAn Inside Job
Last week I attended a running clinic by
Norrie Williamson. He said something to the
effect that running doesn’t cause injuries.
Running reveals bad habits that we have
picked up over time. Like sitting at a
computer all day long. Sitting at the wrong
angle facing the computer. Driving
everywhere and not walking. Poor sleeping
patterns. Incorrect running technique.
Wrong shoes. And, so on. Essentially,
running reveals our flaws. This makes sense
to me. We were born to run, so why would
we pick up injuries for something that’s
supposed to come naturally to us? We can
equate this running analogy to life. We are
born perfect. We are born for purpose. Yet,
like with running, we pick up ‘injuries’ along
the way. Mostly emotional. We become
flawed. But life doesn’t cause our flaws, it
reveals them. It reveals our character. It
reveals what’s going on inside our head,
heart and soul. When the pressure is on, we
either stay a lump of coal or we turn into a
diamond. I think that it is true that what is
going on inside us will manifest itself in the
outside world. We are a jug and life is water.
When the jug is filled it is water’s nature to
find the cracks. Life reveals our cracks. It
shatters the masks that we carry. It reveals
the true person. Life really is an inside job.
To navigate it properly, we need to spend
more time working on the inside than on the
outside. The trick is to get the head space,
the heart space and the soul space right. And
that’s the most difficult journey of all. If we
don’t crack that code, no matter how good
or bad our external situation is, we’ll always
feel insecure, unworthy and unfulfilled. In
my work I keep banging on about prayer,
meditation and journaling. I do this because
it’s the only way I know how to even begin
to navigate this life. It’s the only way I can
reveal the miracle that’s me. I can only
suggest that like me, you too ‘go inside’ and
reveal the true wonderment that’s you.
