In view of the recent amendment made in the Patents Act, 1970 by the Patents (Amendment) Act, 2005
effective from 01st January 2005, the Official Journal of The Patent Office is required to be published under
the Statute. This Journal is being published on weekly basis on every Friday covering the various proceedings
on Patents as required according to the provision of Section 145 of the Patents Act 1970. All the enquiries on
this Official Journal and other information as required by the public should be addressed to the Controller
General of Patents, Designs & Trade Marks. Suggestions and comments are requested from all quarters so that

Under the new provision of the Patents Act, 1970 as amended by the Patents (Amendment) Act, 2005
and Rules there under, Publication of the matter relating to Patents in the Official Gazette of India Part III,
Section 2 has been discontinued and instead The Official Journal of the Patent Office is being published
containing all the activities of The Patent Office such as publication of all the patent applications after 18th
months , grant of patents & all other information in respect of the proceedings as required under the provisions
of the Patents (Amendment) Act, 2005 and Rules thereunder on weekly basis on every Friday.
The Journal is uploaded in the website every Friday. So Paper form and CD-ROM form of the Journal are
discontinued from 01/01/2009.
SPECIAL NOTICE
Every effort is being taken to publish all the patent applications under section 11(A) of the Patents Act.
However, if duplication of publication of any application is found, then earlier date of publication will be taken
for the purpose of provisional protection for applicant and Patent Office will grant Patent not before six months

The invention relates to Nanostructured lipid carrier (NLC) drug delivery systems of antioxidant for treatment of neurodegenerative
disorders. It particularly relates to the Ubidecarenone (coenzyme Q10) loaded Nanostructured lipid carrier (NLC) drug delivery
systems for treatment of neurodegenerative disorders such as Alzheimers disease, Parkinsons disease etc. It also relates to the process
for preparation of coenzyme Q10 loaded Nanostructured lipid carrier (NLC) drug delivery systems by solvent diffusion method.The
drug delivery system comprises Glyceryl distearate and Glyceryl behenate as solid lipid and Glyceryl triacetate as liquid lipid. The
influences of different type of solid lipid and liquid lipid concentration on physiochemical properties of the NLC were characterized.
Properties of these carriers such as the particle size, drug loading, drug encapsulation efficiency, drug release, Fourier transform
infrared spectroscopy, differential scanning calorimetry behavior were investigated. As a result, the drug encapsulation efficiencies
were improved by adding the liquid lipid into the solid lipid of nanoparticles. NLC had higher encapsulation efficiency and drug
release. In addition, in vivo study showed that the antioxidant activity of the Ubidecarenone (Co.QlO NLC) was more effective than
the Ubidecarenone (Coenzyme Q10) solution form on DPPH scavenging, anti-lipid peroxidation, lowers the effect of amnesia induced
by scopolamine and increased bioavailability observed in Cmax, Tmax, and AUC. These results suggest that nanostructured lipid
formulation of Coenzyme Q10 has more antioxidant activity than that of solution form and it can be used to reduce the oxidative stress
and to increase the antioxidant enzyme activity in many neurodegenerative disorders such as Alzheimers disease, Parkinsons disease
etc.

with Level I (global pattern) & II (minutiae) which significantly improves the system accuracy. This substantial performance is
consistent across fingerprint images of varying qualities (good/acceptable/poor). A strict cascaded quality assessment is built into the
system for careful inspection and processing of the fingerprint images of varied qualities. The Level III features provide additional
discriminatory information, which include but not limited to sweat pores, minutiae constrained ridge contours points, edgeoscopic

The present invention discloses a fingerprint authentication system and a novel matching method. The authentication system provided
herein is interoperable and incorporates a versatile matcher which uses either the topological relationship or spatial relationship or a
fusion of both to match the enrolled and the query templates for a robust system. Matching based on topological relationship is
achieved using the triangulation method. The matcher is invariant to large rotations, translations and non-linear distortions. In case of
a fusion matcher, the decision of topology-based matcher is further confirmed by spatial relationship based matcher (Proximity
matcher).The Proximity matcher has a provision for capturing multiple enrollment imprints of fingers, the multiple minutiae sets are
then combined to form a union-template. The union-template increases the fingerprint coverage area to effectively handle low quality
impressions. The said arrangements lead to a highly customizable and performant system for civil and criminal applications.

The various embodiments of the present invention provide a locking mechanism for locking any field replaceable unit (FRU) in a
cabinet. The locking mechanism comprises a handle pivotally connected to the FRU and at least one lock element provided on bottom
of the handle. The latch hook of the handle aligns with a corresponding latch grove provided in the cabinet for fixing the FRU into the

The various embodiments of the present invention provide a locking mechanism for locking any field replaceable unit (FRU) in a
cabinet. The locking mechanism comprises a handle pivotally connected to the FRU and at least one lock element provided on bottom
of the handle. The latch hook of the handle aligns with a corresponding latch grove provided in the cabinet for fixing the FRU into the
cabinet and preventing movement of the FRU in the cabinet. The locking mechanism further comprising a securing provided on the
handle and fastened to a threaded hole provided on the FRU for preventing the opening of the handle.

The various embodiments of the present invention provide a flush fastener and a method of fastening a plurality of surfaces having
pre-drilled holes using the flush faster. The flush fastener comprising an elongated shank portion and a shank head provided on at least
one end of the shank portion. The flush fastener is provided with a dimension to secure a plurality of surfaces having pre-drilled holes
of a less dimension by creating a mechanical interlock between the plurality of surfaces. The method of fastening comprises inserting
a flush fastener into the predrilled holes on the plurality of surfaces, verifying a required protrusion of the flush fastener from an
opposite end of the insertion and flattening a protruded part of the flush fastener by a punching means such that the flattening fills the
gap of the aperture and permanently joins the plurality of surfaces together.

invention comprises of, an elastomer sheet of suitable dimension A4 / A3 with a frosted face, LED illuminating light source and a rear
mirror/polished reflective surface. The elastomer sheet is placed over the reflective surface, so that frosted face and the reflective face
are facing each other. The LED strips are wrapped around the assembly all along the thickness. The key feature of this portable light
table is that uneven surface of the elastomer sheet makes the path of the light visible evenly throughout the top surface, and reflective
back plate helps in throwing additional light out through the elastomer.
