1. Goals for the workshop
 Identify key technologies and policies for building envelope
and their current and future role in meeting energy savings
targets
 Highlight RD&D efforts needed for promising technologies
 Discuss buildings scenarios and define publication milestones
 Identify key policy elements to support technology
deployment
 Discuss key areas and steps for international collaboration
 Gather information on relevant topics that should be the
focus of future work
 Agree on next steps, and key issues to tackle in the further
roadmap and policy pathway development

 Following this scoping workshop, we plan to hold regional
workshops to ensure good geographic coverage and relevance
 Publication completed Q1 2013
