Rationale
Mycotoxins are highly toxic metabolites produced by certain plant-invading fungi in several
crops, processed food and feed, and even in milk and meat products (when animals are fed
mycotoxin contamination in the semi-arid tropics (SAT). We focus on developing the most
appropriate strategies suitable for conditions in the SAT to enhance food safety and safeguard
human and animal health.
