  • ah_livia ah_livia Ali Anani and Juao Maya, You both absolutely filled my heart with joy when I read your unexpected comments! Words…no words cannot even begin to express how MUCH your comments meant to me. Thank you so kindly. I am also glad Slideshare brought us together :) I learn from and appreciate Ali Anani’s amazing wealth of educational information. I am awe struck and marvel at Juao Maya’s stellar technical abilities and beautiful image/ musical compellations! Because of your comments I will NEVER complain about a silly view count ever again. Thank you both for nudging my social pendulum in a positive direction. 9 months ago

  • hudali15 Ali Anani, Managing Partner at Phenomena Communications @juaomaya Dear Juao, I wish my good friend ah_livia would read your comment. She is honest, perfectionist and daring. Your comment touched my heart and I am sure it shall touch ah_livia as well. Coincidentally, I exchanged a telephone conversation with abhishek shah for the first time yesterday. It was a lengthy and very warm talk. We felt we know each other. Thanks to SS that we become virtual friends. I felt exactly what what you said 'Sincerely, I don't know, but I feel as if this exchange of ideas reflects my pendulum and, believe me, its movement makes feel really comfortable', I have some of my presentations scoring few downloads for weeks. Now, they exceed 100 downloads. So, long-term outcome is more important than short-lived successes. Yes, I wants footprints to stay behind and not acetone-like success that evaporates rapidly. Ah_livia will have very strong footprints. I really appreciate your comment, dear Juao. I love your human touch. 10 months ago

  • juaomaya Juão Maya , Retired at my own sweet place @hudali15 Dear Ali, I do not seek a large audience for my presentations, but I do understand and respect members that would like to have it and, moreover, the ones like you and ah livia, who deserve a huge success. So, her last comment has all my sympathy and I share her views about SlideShare. By other hand, I totally agree with you when you say that SS introduced us to each other and now we exchange comments and value each other. That's true, and somehow most of the times this exchange is becoming more important to me than the presentations themselves!... Am I wrong? Sincerely, I don't know, but I feel as if this exchange of ideas reflects my pendulum and, believe me, its movement makes feel really comfortable, and it is the main reason I haven't left SS yet... Yes, the hell with negative thinking, dear faith keeper... yours and ours! 10 months ago

  • hudali15 Ali Anani, Managing Partner at Phenomena Communications @ah_livia Dear ah_livia, I understand your agony and sympathize with it. I feel the same sometimes; but then I realize that good work will be rewarded later. A proof is the comment by Rod King an hour ago on my presentation 'SAN of Blue Ocean Strategy'. The comment is enough reward for me. Slideshare are surely keen on the quality of graphics. Even though I have many graphic designers working for me I refrained from distracting them from their work. However; I shall pay more attention th that because this is the name of the game. Finally, you know my respect for you. I value your presence on slideshare. I want you to run away from negative thinking (which I suffer from occasionally). Look at the positive things. Slideshare introduced us to each other. Now, we exchange comments and we value each other. The hell with negative thinking. It is offset by the bright spots. I do not want my presentation to be the cause of your departure from SS. Please write your next presentation, dear ah_livia. 10 months ago

  • ah_livia ah_livia Advertising and readership. Since this presentations debut I’ve been giving this topic a LOT of thought. While viewing other presentations I tried to understand not only the concepts presented but also the hidden feelings that accompany it. It’s been a wonderful analytical exercise! The topic of advertising and readership has also made me want to reconsider my participation on Slideshare. While I am grateful towards anyone who has viewed my presentations; lately I’ve been feeling bummed out because my latest presentation readership is low partly because Slideshare didn’t advertise it on their homepage. (And several CEO’s of Slideshare have seen it, yet they didn’t recognize it publically) I feel they neglected it not because of the presentation’s content but instead due to my public critiques on Slideshare that some may not agree with. Although I understand certain people are “Slideshare All-Stars” I think it’s unfair to constantly advertise their redundant work. In adding to Ali Anani comment “Emotions drive readership the same way they drive [the decision to participate]” 10 months ago

  • hudali15 Ali Anani, Managing Partner at Phenomena Communications @juaomaya Thanks, Juao for your support. The same extends to me as I need also to think for myself. One of my next presentations will tackle this issue 10 months ago

  • hudali15 Ali Anani, Managing Partner at Phenomena Communications @Beerli thanks, Sally for your comment. It inspired me with a new idea. Like we say point-of-click, I say ads point-of-arousal. Thanks for being a constant inspirer. 10 months ago

  • Beerli Cathy Woods, Educator at Secondary School That 's true. The most successful ads are something which resonate with people. There is an emotional connection one way or another and then that creates a sense that that thing belongs in your life. We read online advertising if it has appeal and the reason for the appeal has to be that we can find a reason or purpose. That rarely comes from our brain but our hearts! 10 months ago
