• I am originally from Little Falls, MN but moved
to the Fargo/Moorhead area when I started
attending MSUM.
• I’m majoring in Social Work and plan to work
in a school setting.
• I am the middle child of three girls.
• I’m Assistant Manager of a store in Fargo,
which makes my days busy.

paraprofessional and my father teaches
Chemistry and Physics.
• I saw Paul McCartney in concert at Target Field
this month.
• My favorite sport of all time is tennis.
• My only celebrity encounter is with James
Marsters at Comic Con in Minneapolis.

• Ukraine gained independence for a brief
amount of time after czarist Russia
collapsed.
• The worlds worst recorded nuclear
incidence happened in Ukraine, known
as Chernobyl.

• Ukraine gained
independence on
August 24th in 1991
from the Soviet Union.
• In 1996, Ukraine
adopted a constitution
that blatantly states its
respect for human
rights.

8. Women’s Rights In Ukraine
• The constitution also prohibits discrimination
based on gender.
• The law “On Equal Rights and Opportunities
for Men and Women” which wasn’t
established until 2006.

9. Human Trafficking
• After gaining independence from the Soviet
Union in the 90s, Ukraine facing political and
economic chaos human trafficking became a
major problem.
• Ukraine is on the Tier 2 Watch List, which
means the country does not fully comply with
the minimum standards for the elimination of
trafficking, though they have made major
efforts to eradicate it.

10. Ukrainian Women
• Ukrainian women are the main target for
trafficking in the country, though men and
children are often targeted as well.
• They say that up to 50% of women have
experienced sexual harassment in the
workplace, though many women do not
realize they are being harassed.
