2. Who does this trailer
represent? Social
groups, age, gender,
ethnicity? Who will you
represent in yours?
3. Our trailer will represent the ‘typical teenager’, and
how they respond to horrific happenings.
The trio of 17 year olds will be dressed in casual
attire (skinny jeans, t-shirts and hoodies).
We have chosen these costumes as we feel that
they represent the image of a stereotypical
teenager, and will create verisimilitude in relation
to the storyline (they are clothes that any teenager
would wear camping, so the story immediately
becomes more believable.)
4. Also, stereotypical features of a group of
teenagers will be included, such as the use
of swear words and slang.
Again, this would enforce the authenticity of
the characters, and would allow the
audience to relate to the language they are
using and the way that they speak.
By basing the characters on the target
audience, it will encourage young people to
come and see the film.
5. Our ‘masked killer’ will be stereotypical of any
slasher film, as it will be carrying a weapon and
wearing a ‘creepy’ mask (a scary baby mask).
However, we plan to make our killer slightly
different by simply altering the weapon he will be
carrying.
Usually, it would be a knife or even a saw, but we
will be incorporating a pair of kitchen scissors as
we feel this will add an alternative element to an
otherwise typical slasher film.
