The protagonist goes for a swim in the vast indigo ocean from their small boat called The Sunset. As the sun sinks below the horizon, dyeing the sky blood red, the protagonist dives into the cool waters. However, they suddenly feel alone in the vast ocean until they see a deep amber eye staring at them from below. Before they can react, they inhale water and begin to drown. As they drown, they hear a whisper in a forgotten language that they somehow understand, though their heart is racing and lungs feel like bursting. Then, everything stops as they sink deeper into the depths.
2. The wave sloshed against the
sides of my minuscule dingy
called The Sunset, named
after the first sunset I saw
when I went out to sea.
I watched the sun sink low into
the vast western ocean the
remaining light from the sinking
sun dyed everything blood
red.
3. Splash! I dove into the vast
Indigo ocean.
The dark water felt like a cool
soft blanket on my hard sun
worn skin, I watch as silver fish
propelled past like sleek darts
through the ocean, my eyes
opened wide at the sight of my
breath as small silvery pearls
that flouted upwards towards
the blood red sky.
4. All of a sudden I was snapped
back into the harshness of
reality and suddenly I found
myself quite alone in the vast
deep ocean.
But was I really alone?
6. Then I saw it a deep amber
eye that stared up at me,
unblinking, ancient and
menacing.
I drew in a sharp breath of
surprise and in the time I had
done that My lungs had filled
with water and started to
drown
7. Either I was quite wrong and
my mind was playing tricks
on me but I distinctly heard
something,
A whisper in a forgotten
tongue, and even though I
couldn't understand what it
d was saying I felt as though I
knew.
9. Drowning was terrible, my
heart raced my blood
thumped I felt as lough my
lungs were going to burst
and all the time my brain
was saying "your going to
die!."
Then it all stopped.
and I sank down into the
eternal depth.
