KwaliTools is excited to announce its newest development that makes even easier to conduct
professional online video-audio based focus groups and IDIs.
In qualitative research our goal is
often to have our stimuli
evaluated by respondents. In
order to that we need to offer
them tools to express how they
arrive at certain ranks,
evaluations.
The pre-requisitve of
understanding what makes
people rank something higher than something else we need to explore what perception they
have. This is normally done by simple verbal exploration but can be supported by visual tools
too.
Listing the attributes and features of the studied topic/object can be done simply in writing or
by associated visuals (collage). To help deeper understand the relationship of various
features we can use further
tools, e.g.. The Triangular
comparison. Can be used just
verbally but also in combination
with visuals.
When looking for direct
evaluation of elements we can
use a symbol that stands for
positive and negative, better and
worse, smaller and bigger –
whatever the topic requires.
You can also use these tools to deeper analyze attributes and features respondents
mentioned previously. Projections help respondents express their thoughts by looking at the
object from a (latently) external point of view.

can better understand their
attitudes.
With this new development, Moderators and project managers are able to upload, set and
use static background image to any whiteboard rooms with just a few click.
The new functionality provides a
wide range of use: mapping
exercises, comparison, ranking
and hierarchies or projective
exercises. The background can
be used to display various type
of stimulis like pyramid, chart,
circles or arrows or placing
company, brand logo, pictures
of a product or service.
The whiteboard background remains static, respondents and moderators can just as easily
draw, place additional stimuli, pictures or write to it even by using different colors.
During the sessions, moderators
can take snapshots of the
current whiteboard exercise
performed by the group or
individuals and load the work
back at any time.
In align with the other cutting
edge functionalities of KwaliTools, the whiteboard background also gets recorded and
becomes available for analysis and reporting purposes as the session finished.
