2. Mankind by David Turow
We've always fought
For what we thought
Was more than worth
Untimely death;
We often cried,
And sometimes died,
But never got
That which we sought.
Yet still again--
Perhaps in vain--
We'll fight and strive--
While we're alive.

4. The World by William Wordsworth
The world is too much with us; late and soon,
Getting and spending, we lay waste our powers:
Little we see in Nature that is ours;
We have given our hearts away, a sordid boon.
This sea that bares her bosom to the moon;
The winds that will be howling at all hours,
And are up-gather'd now like sleeping flowers;
For this, for everything, we are out of tune;
It moves us not.--Great God! I'd rather be
A Pagan suckled in a creed outworn;
So might I, standing on this pleasant lea,
Have glimpses that would make me less forlorn;
Have sight of Proteus rising from the sea;
Or hear old Triton blow his wreathed horn.
5. Explanation of The âWorldâ
âThe Worldâ is the a famous poem the talks the
evils of industrialization. Mr. Wordsworth saw
the evils of the industrial revolution and how

6. Culmination by Poetvoyeur
Big Bangs in miniature
In every nanosecond
Sling reflections of the stars
Winking -
from their distant graves.
Are we the alpha
and the zeta?
Mirroring the universe
looking inward on itself
In perpetuity?
7. Explanation of âCulmination
The âCulminationâ is a poem that compares the
entire universe and to our lives. It talks about
how we overlook the small things in life just
because they are small. The second half deals
with the uncertainty of life. How we desperately
try to figure out the future, but the only
certainty is the past.
8. Dearest Enemy by GeethikaMy evil lair is now empty
Once full of schemes and evil plans
But all of the disappeared,
When I foolishly grasped the chance.
I took up my most malicious idea,
And put into action right away.
We fought in an epic battle of good and evil,
And somehow I seized the day.
I defeated you for the first time,
Mortified you took off to the sky.
News channels were talking about your abscond, But I thought
this was some sort of lie.
For you were brave and true,
You were the hero of the town.
And everyone believed in you,
You were the one with the crown.
Now I am the ruler, The epic one of all.
The most evil person, Standing straight and tall.
But what is the use, If you have no one to fight.
No one to foil your plans,
No one to tell you what is right.
I know this sounds crazy,
But, I still think of you every day.
I am the villain and you are the hero,
I wish nothing took it away.
So for now all I can say,
You were my dearest enemy.
But one fine day while robbing a deserted bank,
Is it a bird? Or a plane?
People gaped at the sky,
And I felt a neck breaking pain.
The hero was back, I could scream with joy.
Hit me hard, Thatâs my boy!
Take the money , Save the young.
And throw me to the air, I land in the dung.
Later that day after I had washed myself,
I went on with my daft plans.
âCause I knew you were back and I was so glad, Once again I
had to grab the chance.
I know this sounds crazy,
But I think of you every day.
Iâm the villain and you are the hero,
Nothing will change no matter what people say.
So for now all I can say,
You are my dearest enemyâŠ..
9. Explanation of Dearest Enemy
The poem takes an interesting view from the
normal hero plot. The villain wins defeating the
hero and taking control of the people. The
villain then sees what he wanted. Not the
power or money but the conflict of the hero.
The villain is born a villain and wants nothing
more than to fight the hero. He now is longing
for his old foe to return and cheers knowing he
can ounce again fight his old friend.

12. All I Have by Sandeep JainMy name, my knowledge ,my views
are all inherited
owned by me today
yet nurtured from centuries for the years to
come
Our forefathers created a world
full of application of wisdom
acquired by them by long experience
easily taken by us as we passed through this
age.
The portraits, literature
,sculptures,landmarks and artifacts
remove them and the world will no more be
worth living
We, the easy going folk who sustain
ourselves by our heritage alone
should be thankful to our ancestors.
The cities and manners of living
the language and the script
way of clothing and eating
all we have cultivated in a long long time
of sustenance.
Preserve O man
this culture
for bereft of this you shall be like
wanderers
without any footprints
unknown to yourself as tramps
vagabonds
whose future will by as doubtful as past.
13. Explanation of All I Have

14. Cosmic Romance by C. SpiesTwo lovers found each other
in the womb of the Cosmos -
In a Universe smaller,
and infinitely younger.
White hot 'Everything' compressed
into the smallest of places,
and the smallest of spaces,
expanding and cooling into
brilliant sparkling clouds of gas -
The formation of the
interconnecting galaxies.
These two particles stared
out across the Cosmos
at their opposite counterpart...
They were so very similar,
and yet so very different
from one another.
Their entire lives rotated
in different directions,
and yet they still felt
as though they were one.
They raced to embrace
one another, but found
that theirs was a forbidden love -
One governed and ruled
by the laws of physics.
They were forever doomed
to their individual isolation,
for as soon as they met each other,
they annihilated together -
Converging with one another
into an indescribable energy,
powerful enough to destroy all that is,
and all that ever was.
The original Pyramus and Thisbe.
The original Romeo and Juliet.
A battle on a cosmic scale -
That of the two lovers,
Matter and Antimatter.

16. Egoâs Wounds by Drifting Cloud
Time heals all of ego's wounds
What happened many lifetimes ago
Long forgotten and thus forgiven
No longer does the incident disturb us
But as the time train chugs along its tracks
And space and form appear in a new movie
frame
It allows ego to stab at the psyche once again
As long as we ride behind its locomotive
It's only by our strong belief in ego's movie
That so painfully we can be hurt by it
And when we see through the grand façade
We can leave ego's foolish world far behind
And be free of its piercing, stinging wounds
Deep into the tender heart of belief
Not just with the passing of time
But in the ever present now
17. Egoâs Wounds by Drifting Cloud
This poem talks about the how if we follow our
ego it will be hurt. That time can heal our ego
but not protect it from more damage. The only
way for us to protect ourselves is to leave our
ego behind. The speaker said that the ego
makes us weak and leads to further pain.
18. Dare To Be Different by M. Amalraj
Open the door of your heart
Let love come running in
Wait for nobody to knock at
Live in reality, not in projected fantasy .
Let go off unwanted thoughts
Shutting down all depression
Comp up with expression
Engage with the world around. Yes
Open; let the fresh air come in.
19. Explanation of Dare to be Different
This poem is less of an expression of an idea but
a plea from the speaker. Begging the reader to
tear down all past notions of what is acceptable.
Let yourself be open to the bad and the good in
life, because that is the only way to live. The

couplet.
20. You Donât Know Who I Think I Am by
Fall Out Boy
Oh oh oh oh
Oh oh oh oh
A penny for your thoughts but a dollar
for your insights
Or a fortune for your disaster
I'm just a painter and I'm drawing a
blank
[Chorus]
We only want to sing you to sleep
In your bedroom speakers, whoa
We need umbrellas on the inside
Get me just right
They say quitters never win
But we walk the plank on a sinking ship
There's a world outside of my front door
That gets off on being down
Oh oh oh oh
[Chorus]
I could learn to pity fools as
I'm the worst of all
And I can't stop feeling sorry
for myself
Whoa
[Chorus]
Broken down on memory lane
Alone together, we're alone
(Woah)
We're broken down on
memory lane
Alone together, we're alone
Oh oh oh oh

Life is a computer
At times slow
And annoying with

Viruses but also is
Very good with Facebook

Books with a click of a mouse
