2. I. Top metal:- usually most of the
components reside on the top layer.
II. Components:- they are real devices used
in the making of circuit. This requires
input and output connections.
III. Pads:- they have an inner and outer
diameter. They have a location where
the components connect to.
IV. Traces:- basically, they connect pads
together as they are essentially the
wiring of the PCB. Signal traces usually
narrower than power or ground traces.
V. Vias:- they are basically a pad with a
plated hole connecting traces from one
layer to other layer of board.
VI. Bottom meta layer:- on this layer there
are many traces and few components
and most of the soldering takes place on
this layer.

3. Materials of a PCB
 Basically, the board is
coated with a solder mask
that is in green color. Blue
and red are some other
colors available.
 The conducting layers are
typically made of thin
copper foil.
 Only the desired copper
traces or pathways are left
after etching.
