2. The aim of our project is to improve the relationship between urban communities and farms . We believe this is an important relationship as it parallels the link between what we eat and our health. 3. In the past, this relationship between farmers and urban communities was closer, people knew where their food was coming from because their community was directly involved in its source. They learn about the benefits of both traditional and modern farming techniques.

They learn traditional and modern cooking methods and how to make delicious dishes from the vegetables that grow in China. They then enjoy a fresh lunch and the fruits of their labours!

Students can also see when the crops THEY planted will be delivered to the school.

We would like to ignite the interest in children both before and after their involvement with the farm through their school.
