Training faculty to use any type of new technology is a challenge. Despite ExamSoft’s user-friendly interface, some faculty will still struggle. Join this session to learn best practices in training faculty to use ExamSoft. This method of training will include a 3-step process. First, users experience the platform as a student to discover the advantages and key components of the program. Secondly, users get a glimpse “behind the curtain” and explore the basics of the online portal. Lastly, users practice entering items, using categories, and creating exams with their own test questions. Using this 3-step approach, users experience the value of the program from a student perspective and then learn how to make those experiences happen for their own students.
At the end of the session, participants will be able to:
1) Explore key characteristics of adult learning and their impact on training for ExamSoft
2) Identify best practices for training faculty to use ExamSoft for the first time
3) Design a fun assessment for your faculty to experience the program as a student
