Hello there,
Before I go any further, please ensure that you read the whole of this
newsletter as there is an Important Announcement later on in this issue.
Ok...
It's been a very interesting, thought provoking and fruitful week for us this
past week.
Since I spoke to you last, Lyn and I have taken some time out. For the past
6 days we have been up in the hills here in Paphos, Cyprus, staying in a nice
villa where the most noticeable thing has been the total and
utter......silence.

No road noise, or people noise, just tranquil peace and quiet.
No TV for a whole week either. That's been kind of unexpectedly nice too.
And that's been just what we intended and what we needed, because we
have been using this 6 day retreat to strategise and plan what we want to
do with our business in the weeks and months ahead.

I've talked in the past, as long-term readers will know, about the importance
of taking time out, away from the daily grind, to just clear your head and
think about what you truly want from life.
We do that on a regular basis in order to make sure that what we are doing,
is what we actually want to be doing and that the direction of our
business is still meeting our goals. It's easy to let your day to day actions
lead you away from your goals rather than towards them, if you are not
stepping back occasionally to ensure that your life and your business is on
the right track.
It's amazing how powerful having goals to aim for and work towards can be
and how having solid goals can take away that feeling of distraction and lack
of focus.
If you look at your own life right now in an honest way and if the result is
that you feel a bit directionless (hey, we've all been there) and that you
seem to be drifting through life, working day to day, just because that's
what you normally do, then it is very probable that you feel a bit like a
rudderless ship. Drifting. Lack of any real direction in life. With every day
pretty much like the last and things just being the 'same old same old', or
'same shit, different day' kind of feeling.
You wouldn't be all that different from millions of folks, if that's the way your
life looks and feels right now, because that's the way that most people who
don't have any REAL goals in life tend to feel.
But if you truly want to break away from that feeling and to NOT be like
most people, then read on...
Some people say that they have goals, but what they really have are wishes,
or dreams, without any PLAN to achieve them. That's why they feel like they
are not getting anywhere in life and just drifting. Whereas, having solid
goals, combined with a well thought out plan and method to achieve
them, is what brings peace of mind, a feeling of focused direction and a
feeling that life has a solid purpose.
You suddenly know exactly what you are trying to achieve, what you are
GOING to achieve. There's a sense of comfort and security. Peace of mind, if

you will. You get up each morning feeling alive and eager to get on with the
day, because you know that you are really moving forward towards having
the life you truly want to have and moving away from the drudge.
And all because you took time out to consider exactly what you want from
life and set goals to achieve the life you really want to be living.
Y'see, here's the thing...
Knowing and deciding what you ACTUALLY want from life can very often be
the hardest thing to do. It takes some serious thinking and looking inside
yourself to REALLY decide what you want from life.
And, as I said to a client recently, sometimes knowing what you SHOULDN'T
be doing can be equally as important as knowing what you SHOULD be
doing.
And that is why it is so absolutely vital to take the 'me time' in order to get
very clear about how you want your life to look and feel. Because then,
when you are clear about that part, you can begin to set actual goals and
start to formulate a strategy and a plan to achieve those goals and get you
where you want to be with your life.
There is something you need to know about having goals though and a
fellow marketer of mine put it very succinctly when he said...
'Goals are something that you work towards, not things you hope for
and do nothing about.'
(Read that again)!
3 CRITICAL things that you NEED to succeed online (or anywhere really).
1. Find successful people to model.
2. Take massive action and do MORE than most.
3. Refuse to quit when you hit the inevitable bumps.
Erm... and that's it really.

And whilst I'm in the mood for sharing some really valid and meaningful
quotes with you, here's another...
'The best way to predict your future is to create it.' - Anonymous
That little sentence right there is my own personal mantra. The theme that I
live my life by.
(Read that again too and let it really sink in)!
You know why that is? Because no other bugger will do it for you! YOU are
responsible for your success and if you REALLY want success (and all the
toys and joys that it brings), you have to follow a path that will lead you
there.
Let me help you a little here. Here's what that path might look like for
you....
YOUR Plan!
1. Decide and KNOW what you truly want from life and how you want to be
living it. (When was the last time that you gave any real thought to what
YOU want from life)?
2. Set clear and defined goals that, when IMPLEMENTED and ACTIONED on
a consistent and regular basis, will lead you towards your goals. Closer and
closer until you get there.
3. Decide on a METHOD that you will use to attain your goals.
.... THEN you can continue as per Lee's advice above...
4. Find successful people to model. Get their help and advice if possible.
5. Take massive action and do MORE than most.

There's a PLAN right there for you, if you want to use it. And you should.
That said, here's a final quote that I love from Mark Twain (1835 - 1910):
"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you
didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away
from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream.
Discover."

I saw you speak a few years ago at a world internet summit event and your
talk was recorded and later available on a DVD. Could you please tell me
where I can buy a copy of that DVD as I'd love to watch your talk again
because you taught something from stage that I have seen others make
