to the Constitution
Session 3 9:30 - 10:00
The importance of copyright:
● Disney Video on copyright
● Share a “Don’t” video
● Conducting a copyright-friendly image search on Google
● Overview of media resources on the OETQ Summer 2010 wiki
Session 4 10:00-10:15 Independent Work
Participants will conduct copyright-friendly search for an additional 2-5 images for the project.
Images will be saved to the project folder.
Session 5 10:15 - 10:30 Hands On Planning
Pre-Production steps
● Editing and modifying prepared narratives
● Working with a storyboard
○ Adding image file names/descriptions
○ Syncing text with images
Session 6 10:30-10:45
Introduction to still video styles
Examples of Ken Burns effect and use of still images (zooming in for detail, cropping)

Session 8 11:10- 11:30 Tagging Assets with Keywords
● Adding keyword tags to project assets
● Adding additional keyword tags to the same assets
Session 9 11:30 -12:00 Recording Narration
● Create the narrative track for your slideshow
● Use the Preamble to the Constitution text

1. Adding images to your timeline
2. Adding transitions to the timeline between images
Session 11 1:15 - 1:45 Adjusting and Syncing narrative to images
1. Applying a “Ken Burns” effect to still images
2. Adjusting images to synchronize with narrative content
Session 12 1:45 - 2:00 Adding Music to your Movie
1. Using copyright friendly music files
2. Adding a musical soundtrack
3. Ducking the volume on the music track - two methods
Session 13 2:-2:30 Saving Your Work
1. Save your project in Adobe PRE
2. Share your project as an mpeg to the Desktop
3. Drag your Mpeg file to the OETQ flashdrive
Session 14 2:30 -2:45 Wrap Up and Assignment for Day Two
1. Addressing unanswered question.
2. Reviewing assignment for Day 2: Create a short narrative and script from your
curriculum and begin gathering images on a flash drive.
