Lutheran Home Welcomes
New Administrator
Lutheran Social Services is pleased to announce the appointment
of Todd Gaertner as the new administrator of the two residential
elder care programs at the Lutheran Home of Southbury.
Gaertner’s primary responsibility will be the supervision of the
organization’s 120-resident skilled nursing facility, which cares
for persons with Alzheimer's and other memory related disor-
ders, those requiring traditional long-term nursing care, and
those in need of rehab services.
“My passion as a nursing home administrator is the develop-
ment of person-centered communities in which residents and
their family members are actively involved in the quality and
social development of the community,” states Gaertner.
“The team at the Lutheran Home will continue in its endeavor
to provide great quality care and a great quality of life for all
members of the community.”
In addition to caring for people in the organization’s nursing
program, Gaertner will be responsible for the Lutheran Home’s
independent living community, Parley Manor. This 14-resident
community offers people three meals per day, 24-hour atten-
