What are some substances that are
abused?
Tobacco is one of the most commonly used substances
world-wide. The chemical that causes addiction tobacco
addiction is nicotine
Alcohol, in the form of beer, wine or spirits delays

Glue, nail polish and gasoline vapour are examples of
some substances called inhalants because abusers smell
them to get a ‘buzz’
