8. it will fold down flat on itself to make a smaller square
9. fold each outward corner into the centre of the square (remember to keep the open edges at the small end of the fold – people that didn’t had really odd cranes)
11. unfold the four new folds and turn them inside out (just like the tricky bit of stage 5 and 6)
12. you have now reached your second base – the diamond
13. take the flaps from the base of the kite and fold them back on themselves then flatten it out
14. fold the outer corners into the centre as you did to make the kite (remember keep the open end at the small bit of the fold – no one wants an ugly bird)
