fish and furs too.

5.  Their forts became some major cities in
America like modern day Detroit, St
Louis, and New Orleans. They also converted
some Indians to catholic.

6.  Did you know that only around 400 French
people settled in almost half of America.
 Louis Joliet and Jacques Marquette were the
first people to sail down the Mississippi.
 New France became a colony in 1663.
