The document contains data and analysis from Mrs. Lay's 2nd period reaction time experiment. It includes measures of center and range for ghost blaster, stopwatch, and hand slap times. Box plots and histograms show the distribution of ghost blaster scores, which typically cluster around 20 points. While the girls had an outlier of 51 points, the boys' data was more consistent, suggesting boys may be faster than girls.

10. DATA VARIABILITY
About 2/3 of the students have the ghost blaster
scores between 16 and 35 points.
The outliers are -35, -9, and 51.
In the histogram there were a major gap between
the number -24 and -15.
A lot of the data clustered between 29 and 41
points
11. “TYPICAL” SCORES OF GHOST BLASTERS IS…
I think the “typical” scores of the students who play
ghost blaster in Mrs. Lay’s 2nd Period Class is about
20 points. I think that because the mean and the
median are very close to 20 points if not exactly 20
points. Also the clusters in the line plot are around
the 20 mark. The mode is 17/28 which, considering
all numbers the mode is really close to the 20 mark
too.
12. “WHO’S FASTER, GIRLS OR BOYS?!?!?!”
In the end the gender that I believe that came out on top was
the boys. I believe this because if you look at the line plot you
can easily see that even though the girls have a big gap of 51
points they still have a huge gap of -35 and -9 point and the
boys have their data clustered very close together and the
girls have their data very far apart. If you can, you can also
see that the boy’s mean and median are both bigger than the
girl’s mean and median, which is why I think the guys are
more constantly with their data then the girls.
