What is a sales funnel and how do i use one
1. What is a Sales Funnel and is it Important?
If you’re an online marketer and struggling a little understanding a sales funnel...
Don't worry you’re not alone. Most people who start out with their home business online had no
idea of what they were getting into. They set up their blog and wrote their posts figuring that
people would read it and just contact them. I know I did the same thing. But this is NOT how
marketing on the internet works... At all!
The need for a sales funnel is essential for your success. When someone reads your blog they are
not interested in talking to you directly. They may be interested in your product or service but are
mostly hungry for more information. They want to find out more about you... and your product
or service. This is where a sales funnel comes into play.
What is a Sales Funnel for a Blog?
This is a fairly easy question to answer. You see the banners around this post. This is "Mouth" of
the sales funnel. Here is how it works:
Reader comes and reads your content
Reader likes your content or whatever you are offering
Reader wants more information
Reader clicks the banner or link you have provided
Reader enters his name, email and phone. Or just his email.
Reader is provided with more information regarding your information
Simple as that. Remember that this is just the "Mouth" of your funnel.
This blogging platform itself is one huge, highly converting sales funnel. One that provides the
blogger the ability to share relevant information about any subject and attract them to become
customers.
2. What's Next in a Sales Funnel?
Well now the reader has fully entered your funnel. He is one of two people:
1. A buyer
2. A not ready buyer
The first person will sign up with you immediately and start utilizing whatever information or
product you are supplying. That's great! A buyer becomes a prospect and a customer all at
once....
BUT!!
95% of the readers who enter your funnel will not buy immediately. That's ok... they are careful
people who need time to decide. So what happens to them?
The Final Part of your Sales Funnel
The 95% as well as the other 5% are now known as prospects who have given you permission to
email them. Now here is where I would strongly recommend an Auto-responder. This is an
email service that is inexpensive that gives you the ability to bulk email your "Prospects" with
relevant information about your product or service.
Over time the 95% who did not buy right away will become buyers. These people need to get to
know you and get comfortable with you. This is why you email them daily using your Auto-
responder to provide them with relevant information and some of your own personal back story.
Let them into your inner circle and show them that you are a real person.
This is a sales funnel. Plain and simple.
There are literally thousands of different types out there. But the one you are looking at right
now is no holds barred the highest converting one on the internet. Not Kidding!! I have been
around the block over the years. This sales funnel is almost magical and the reason for that is it is
3. honest, straight forward and even the sales videos in it provide information that you can use to
start seeing results....
