Problem Statement In large company (more then 400 Where will we allocate employees), there is a need to our employee ? manage the resources in order to Do we forecast costs on have: our projects correctly? Process Fundamentals ● The Resource Planning is a process that runs in parallel with the sales, finance and human resources ones; ● The short/medium term plan is done to align the business needs with the available resources; ● The long term plan on forecast projects supports the company strategy; ● The resource is allocated on role per project activities; ● Not billable activities, like sickness, are managed; ● The process actors are: – Project Manager has budget responsibility and he/she is the buyer; – Line Manager has resources responsibility and he/she is the seller; – The Resource Manager is responsible for the overall process and reports directly to the Company/Business Head; – Company and business managers. 27/08/10 Company Resource Planning - Daniele Pinto 7
