Annotation elements ANNOTATION ELEVATION LINE SECONDARY ELEVATION LINE SYMBOL
RULE 1 The elevation lines must be parallel to the line that you want to measure and separated from it 8 mm.
RULE 2 The elevation line must end in an arrow. The arrows must be long and narrow and  must be between 2 and 3,5 mm long.
RULE 3 You must never cross the elevation lines.
RULE 4 Never use edges as elevation lines.
RULE 5 The annotations must be comfortable to read. Situate them in the same position as the draw or in a way to read it from the right.
RULE 6 Secondary elevation line must be 2 or 3 mm larger than the elevation lines.
And last but not least The annotation must be centred in the line Use the minimum number of annotations to explain completely your drawing Don’t repeat the annotations Use always the same measurement units Never cross elevation lines or arrows.
