Chef gordon ramsay, andt the art of cooking, revamped by a crazy chef
1. Chef Gordon Ramsay, Cooking, and General Musings of a Crazy Chef
It is unbelievable to me how extremely successful chef Gordon Ramsay has become in the last five years.
Just look at the ridiculous success of the TV show Hell’s kitchen and you'll see that chef Gordon Ramsay
has become one of the most successful culinary figures of all time. I'd be willing to wager that he's even
rivaling Wolfgang Puck as far as with notoriety. This guy has been cooking and creating TV shows for a
long time. He's even got a new show out called master chef that has been on for quite some time and is
gaining more and more notoriety and momentum as we speak right now.
It is pretty rare for someone with the culinary background to come out and become an actual television
star. Chef Gordon Ramsay is someone that a lot of aspiring chefs look up to. It is unfortunate that the
man is such a hassle. I've even read that two people that have had experience with him on his cooking
shows have committed suicide. I've seen these television shows and I feel that they are more drama
than real life. I believe a lot of these reality shows are staged and have scripts. However it makes me
second guess when I see people have actually killed themselves after being on his shows. Let it be said
that there is no legal connection to being on the shows and the suicides, this could just be a bad co
incidence.
I have known people from the culinary world that I wish have their own TV shows. Colorful characters
who smoke like chimneys and drink like fish, but could some the best damn food I've ever tasted. Very
few people actually see the seedy underbelly of the culinary arts world. Many chefs are alcoholics, drug
addicts, neurotics, and many other afflictions. I think it is often overlooked that becoming a chef is
actually a career much like becoming a painter. The parallel of cooking in art is often forgotten in
American culture. I guess the payroll and trying to draw here is that lots of artists indulge in drugs and
drinking and have addiction problems, and chefs are artists. I think it's clear now that some in the decide
to spend their life cooking food obviously has a few screws loose.
I love cooking and I am myself a chef. I also feel that I am quite insane, because I continue to chase my
dream of creating new and interesting food while not making very much money while I'm doing it. I was
lucky enough to find some culinary arts scholarships along the way to help pay for my education,
otherwise it would not have been able to go to school for cooking. Now that I have my education behind
me and my career in front of me I must say that has been a good life so far. Although it has had its ups
and downs and lean times, I have been able to stay afloat and still keep cooking which is more than a lot
of my friends can say.
2. A lot of people that are aspiring chefs are struggling with money and ways to go to school. To to them
the advice I would give is to find some culinary arts Grants available freely on the Internet and get
ourselves a solid education so they can get out in the marketplace and start cooking!
