The Current Situation ● ● IBM has confirmed that it's laying off a portion of its workforce in order to focus on new priority areas,like the cloud analytics and cognitive computing.(Kerr,2014). However, one source familiar with the plans told CNET that the layoffs entailed up to 25 percent in the Systems and Technology group -- this is the group that makes IBM servers and is often referred to as the "hardware" division. (Kerr,2014).

  9. 9. Continued Risks ● ● ● ● Risks of developing and organizing plan turnaround plan consists of a decline in revenue from core business. Slow growth with new turnaround plan. An overbudget not having enough money;budget restricted. No frills.

Final Recommendations ● ● • IBM should not lay off up to 25 percent in the Systems and Technology group – this is the group that makes IBM servers and is often referred to as the "hardware" division. (Kerr,2014). Ensure workers that the job they have are safe. Prevent unrealistic deadlines as a Project Manager by doing the following gather your data, get creative, and craft and deliver your message. (Manello & Gordon,2010).
