• The HIPAA Security regulation provides for the
security of all patient’s health information
whenever the information is transferred
electronically.

4. Regulations for privacy
• Only employees with access to patient
information may access them
• Employees with access to patient information
under no circumstances are to share with
unauthorized employees.
• Employees are not the share passwords or
access information with other unauthorized
employees

5. Violations of privacy
• Employees caught violating any of the patient
privacy information will be disciplined
accordingly to the HIPAA policy
• ALL unauthorized employees who are involved
in accessing or viewing patient information
without consent will be terminated
immediately upon scrutiny
