Research has shown that drinks such as Ginger and Green Tea have the potential to fight disease and in
some cases reduce the risk of cancer by a staggering 57%.
We know that there are many foods that are literally jam-
packed with nutritional goodness and of which can help us
prevent cancer and other serious illnesses. But, in this post, I
wanted to share with you some of the drinks you can enjoy
and which at the same time may help strengthen our immune
system and fight cancer.
Green Tea – Inhibits Prostate and ColoRectal Cancers
When it comes to boosting the immune system and fighting
disease, green tea is second to none.
Green tea contains an abundance of polyphenols and
catechin antioxidants which make it top dog when it comes to the removal of free radicals. Too many free radicals
can eventually lead to cell and DNA damage and may lead to cancer.
Numerous studies have shown that the powerful antioxidants contained within green tea can dramatically reduce
your risk of cancer, especially prostate, breast and colorectal.
In one study, 69,710 Chinese women were monitored over a period of six years. The results showed that the
women who consumed green tea on a regular basis, had a 57% lower risk of colon and rectal cancers. 1
Other studies have shown that women can also reduce their risk of breast cancer by an impressive 22% 2 and
advanced prostate cancer in men by as much as 48%. 3
I’m sure you will agree, those percentages are pretty impressive.

It’s no secret. Lemon has been used for thousands of years and can be considered one of life’s true superfoods.
Or as I like to refer to it, the Swiss Army Knife of the food world.
Many people believe that lemons are acidic, and they would be correct. But, what is often misunderstood, is that

Chamomile Tea – Re-establishes The Profile Of Cancerous Cells
Chamomile tea is a real powerhouse which contains an extremely potent phytochemical called Apigenin.
Apigenin is also an effective anti-inflammatory and can be found in many plant based foods, many of which can
be found in abundance in the Mediterranean style diet.

Cancer cells by nature are able to inhibit their own death or apoptosis and is one of the reasons that tumors
develop.
Researchers at the Ohio State University Cancer Center found that Apigenin has the ability to re-establish the
profile of a cancer cell. This means that cancerous cells literally die off when programmed to just like normal
healthy cells. 4
Chamomile is also very beneficial for other ailments such as stomach upsets, migraines, mouth ulcers, anxiety
and may also help to alleviate insomnia.
Ginger Tea – A Potent Anti-Inflammatory And Antioxidant
Ginger is indigenous to South-East Asia, and thanks to early spice trading, has now become available all over the
world. Ginger has been used extensively as a spice in many food dishes and also for its numerous therapeutic
benefits.

an oil.
The Chinese have been using Ginger for around 2,000 years
after they discovered that it was outstanding when treating
nausea, stomach sickness and Diarrhea to name just a few.
Ginger is not only a great anti-inflammatory, but is also
packed with antioxidants.
Research suggests that Ginger is also a potent anti-
carcinogenic agent, especially when it comes to preventing
prostate and colon cancers.
A number of studies on the potential health benefits of Ginger
have been carried out in recent years and the results have
been very promising.
One study published in the British Journal of Nutrition, looked at Ginger Extract (GE) and its ability to treat
prostate cancer in mice. 6
The results were quite startling and showed that the tumors were reduced by an incredible 56%.
Ginger has also been shown to lower the PGE2 inflammation marker in the colon, which is considered by experts
to be a precursor to colon cancer. 7
Simply add to hot water and add some lemon juice and/or raw honey to taste.
So as you can see, these four drinks are not only tasty and easy to prepare, but also have the potential to prevent
the onset of many chronic diseases.
Hopefully, one day, further extensive research can be undertaken so that we can see the full potential of some of
mother earth’s greatest natural medicines.
