Rouses Point is located in the northeast corner of New York state
bordering Lake Champlain, Vermont and Canada
Rouses Point is 13 miles northeast of Chazy
Montreal, Canada is approximately 50 miles from Chazy
Burlington, Vermont is 55 miles from Rouses Point
Local economy: Chazy has a large agricultural industry – dairy,
apples and eggs; and Rouses Point has a manufacturing, retail and
tourism, and government services based economy

Average high temperature in January is 29 – average low is 13
Average precipitation – high in June of 4.36 and a low in February of 2.64”
Average winter snowfall is 71 inches
Lake Champlain is over 100 miles long and is great for boating and fishing
The Adirondack State Park is as close as 25 miles
Hikers will enjoy climbing the 46 high peaks in the Adirondacks
Lake Placid and ski resorts are approximately 65 miles from Chazy
Plattsburgh is the closest city with approximately 20,000 residents
Chazy is located 13 miles north of Plattsburgh
College – the State University of New York Plattsburgh is 15 miles away
Clinton county has a population of around 82,000 residents
Clinton county’s largest industries are retail / tourism, manufacturing,
education and government services

pastoral leadership over the past five plus years and at this point of

and enrich our faith in Christ, enabling each church to grow in our
mission for Christ.

We are offering an effective salary of $43,200
Consisting of cash salary at $33,230
Housing / manse – use valued at $9,970
In addition:
The Benefits Plan of the Presbyterian Church U.S.A., which
includes a medical plan and a pension, and a death and
disability plan
4 weeks paid vacation
2 weeks study leave plus up to $800 in reimbursable
continuing education costs
Reimbursement of job-related mileage at the IRS rate
And up to $50 per month reimbursement for telephone,
books and/or Internet cost

The manse is a 2 bedroom / 2 bathroom home with a one car
garage located next door to the Chazy Presbyterian Church
The manse is presently in the midst of a complete renovation
Upgraded windows, doors and insulation have been installed
The inside has been redesigned with new electrical and plumbing
It is planned to soon have drywall, fixtures, cabinets, appliances,
paint and siding completed.
If the new pastor starts before the manse is completed appropriate
temporary housing will be provided
