Editor's Notes
There is no office anymore. People work remotely - home, office, factory, but even more so, airport, hotel, taxi cab. Mobile devices enable us to work from wherever. Instant on - no need to boot device. Switch seamlessly from personal to work and back. These facts enable us to be more productive
But more than just mobile devices, we need content where we are doing business – in processes and applications… People have new ways of working. Need to collaborate outside the firewall with partners, customers, suppliers. We no longer create a spec and go off for 6 months and then deliver a new product. The market has changed too much. We need to have customers and suppliers in our design process, and involved as we bring a product to market so we can adjust to changing conditions. Sales people collaborate with customers. Marketing with agencies. Operations and engineers with suppliers. CEOs with board of directors.
Because of the cloud, people are used to having any information at hand, at any time, any where, through any app. Corporate IT used to be about Microsoft. And servers. And big contracts. It was full of control, costs, and complexity. The cloud came along and got rid of a lot of the complexity and costs, while keeping the security and control. Companies like NetSuite have proven that the cloud is a better way to run enterprise apps and platforms. But unless organizations provide a way for employees to share and collaborate on this content, people go around existing processes, which exposes the company to risk. When a user puts content in a consumer file sharing tool, and that person leaves the company, the content remains in that account. Out of company control.
Not just collateral – sharing and collaboration.
Not just collateral – sharing and collaboration.
Not just collateral – sharing and collaboration.
Not just collateral – sharing and collaboration.
EVERY DEPARTMENT Box can also be used by everyone in the company – even folks who do not use NetSuite.
EVERY APP! Delivering your content where you need it. The box platform is integrated with more than 230 apps, like Salesforce, Netsuite, Jive, Yammer and many more. Box is a universal content layer which allows you to use any app you want, cloud or on-premise, to get to your content. Removes silos T: Box is.....
