At Naraina Vihar, New Delhi, India the author has discovered number of fractured quartz. It is a chance discovery that a author found in a area of 5000 square meter, the underground water is being recharged as it rains. It is a land which is in a slope of 5 feet from east to west and south to north. Thus the rain water automatically flews down to the area where the fractured quartz has been converted in form of small wells to redirect the rain water to underground. The author has devised his own method of diverting good amount of rain water from the drive way to the fractured quartz area, thereby preventing the wastage of rain water down on the road. Here is a discovery that no rain water is wasted now whereas same rain water was being wasted earlier. The presentation also demonstrates that there is high potential of harvesting the rain water through fractured quartz. The author has surveyed the literature and has not been able to find an example of the occurrence of such type of fractured quartz anywhere on earth, hence Discovery. Similarly it is not known in the literature if the rain water can recharge the underground water in this fashion.

9. THE PROBLEM IS EXPLAINED
IN THE PRECEEDING SLIDES AND THE PHOGRAPHS, IT HAS
BEEN EXPLAINED:
THERE IS 5000 SQ. MTR. AREA HAVING A SLOPE OF ABOUT
FIVE FEET AT NARAINA VIHAR, NEW DELHI, INDIA
OVER THE PERIOD OF YEARS, ABOUT THREE MILLION
LITERS OF RAIN WATER HAD BEEN GOING DOWN THE
DRAIN EVERY YEAR
.A WATER BODY EXISTED IN PAPRIWALA PARK MANY YEARS
AGO IN THIS AREA.
10. NEW BOREWELL
FOR NEARLY TWO YEARS THE PAPRIWALA PARK
DID NOT HAVE ANY WATER BECAUSE THE
BOREWELL WENT OUT OF ORDER AND PARK
REQUIRED NEW BORING.
BORING WAS DONE IN APRIL 2011.
NOTE THE MACHINARY FOR BORING ENTERED THE
PARK BREAKING WALL ON THE NORTH SIDE NEAR
NORTH-WEST CORNER.
AFTER BORING QUARTZ’S AND WAS HEAPED UP ON
THE NORTH-WEST CORNER OF THE PARK, THEREBY
RAISING NORTH-WEST SIDE, blocking the NATURAL
FLOW OF RAIN WATER ON THE ROAD
11. FURTHER
DEVELOPMENTS
THE NORTH-WEST CORNER OF THE PARK WAS
FORTUNATELY RAISED PUTTING A BLOCK TO
FLOW OF RAIN WATER.
DURING MONSOONS OF 2011 AND 2012, THE
RAIN WATER WAS COLLECTED AND ABSORBED
(BEING A LOW LYING AREA)
IT WAS ONLY 0N 21.10.2012 (AFTER
MONSOONS), WHEN THE AUTHOR MADE THE
DISCOVERY OF THE FOUR HOLES AS SHOWN IN
THIS PHOTOGRAPH.
IN NOV 2012, THE AUTHOR MADE A TRIAL RUN
OF 10.000 LITRES OF WATER FROM A TANKER
WATER.
THIS GAVE CONFIDENCE TO THE AUTHOR
THAT IT WAS SOMETHING NATURAL TO
RECHARGE UNDERGROUND WATER BY RAINS.
12. THE NATURAL HOLES EXPLORED
AS WE WENT DOWN, THE
QUARTZ OF DIFFERENT SIZES AND
DIFFERENT SHAPES WERE LYING
MIXED WITH QUARTZ DUST.
THIS QUATRZ DUST SHOULD BE
LEBELLED AS THE WEATHERED
QUARTZ WHICH HAD PROBABLY
HAPPENED BECAUSE OF THE
EXISTENCE OF WATER BODY FOR
THE LAST MANY YEARS.
AS WE WENT DOWN, THE HOLE
BECAME WELL DEFINED
THROUGH WHICH THE RAIN
WATER HAD PROBABLY BEEN
GOING UNDERGROUND
QUARTZ
WEATHERED
QUARTZ
13. THE WELLS EVOLVED DEPENDING
UPON THE WIDTH OF THE
DEFINED HOLES
AT THE DEPTH OF ABOUT 3-4 FEET
IN ALL FOUR SITES,
THE HOLES BECAME WELL
DEFINED.
THE QUARTZ WHICH WERE
REMOVED EARLIER WERE USED TO
EVOLVE ALL THE HOLES INTO
WELLS.
FROM THE DEPTH THE QUARTZ
WERE LAID IN LAYERS TO COME TO
THE SURFACE, WHILE SHAPING
THEM IN TO WELLS.
14. Evolution of the wells in progress – Depicting the fractured Quartzite of 2 wells
16. THUS FROM THE FOUR
HOLES , FOUR WELLS
WERE CONSTRUCTED.
TWO WELLS ON THE
EASTERN SIDE WERE
HAVING A DIAMETER OF
1 FOOT WHEREAS THE
OTHER TWO WELLS ON
WESTERN SIDE WERE
HAVING A DIAMETER OF
1 ½ FEET.BECAUSE OF
THE SLOPE FROM EAST
TO WEST, THE WELLS ON
THE WESTERN SIDE
WERE LAID LOW.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THE
WALLS OF THESE WELLS
WERE CONSTUCTED
ABOUT 6 INCHES ABOVE
THE GROUN LEVEL SO
THAT THE STORM
WATER COMING
THROGH A SLOPE OF 5
FEET DOES NOT CARRY
MUD.
17. After the creation of wells, the first
shower came and rain water flowed
down from NH-2 towards the wells.
Since the smaller wells were at
higher level 6 inches above ground
level, the rain water flowed
automatically towards the bigger
wells which were also 6” above the
ground level.
The force of the rain water took the
direction to another fractured
quartz. This had to be sealed. All
the 4 wells were brought down to
the level of the ground.
24. As mentioned earlier Rain
water from pavement &
driveway had been going
down the road. To divert rain
water to bigger wells a drain
was prepared.
The position of drain is shown.
Through this drain rain water
was diverted to produce video
for recharging underground
water for bigger wells.
25. Rainwater on the driveway charging underground water through bigger wells
26. Drain created in the driveway charging underground water through another fractured quartz
27. Another fractured Quartz opened due to rains with water going underground. This fractured quartz was filled up for
the rain water to go to bigger wells.
28. CONCLUSION
Fractured quartz discovered
Fracture quartz were explored and were evolved into wells
(constructed to look like natural wells)
Diversion of the rain water was constructed to divert the rain water
from the driveway to the bigger wells.
Recharge of the underground water by rains through the fractured
quartz is discovered.
Recharging the Underground water through fracture quartz raised
water level from 220 feet to 70 feet after the monsoons.
