1. Hypercholesterolemia

2. What does Hypercholesterolemia means?
·Is the cholestesrol's
increase in the blood
over the common
values.
·It can be genetic or it can
appear over time.
·Now it is very common in
the population because
of fast food, smoke,
don't practice exercise.

3. Cholesterol
It's a type of lipid which
stays in the blood, and it
mixes with proteins
making lipoproteins.
There are two types:
-Bad Cholesterol:
LDL(low density
lipoproteins).
-Good Cholesterol:
HDL(high density
lipoproteins).

4. Symptoms
Firstly you don't feel the The most common
symptoms, then symptoms are dizziness,
triglycerides appear, and short-sighted, sometimes
the least is cholesterol. you can drown.
Althoungh you don't
feel the symptoms,
you should make a
blood test, if you're
over 40 years, each 4
years.

5. Treatment
You should have a healthy
diet with low lipids, some
medication, and you
shouldn't eat too much
salt.
Can we cure it? No, we
can't. We can reach the
common values if we do
the treatment.

6. Illnes that it causes
Atherosclerosis: The
arteries harden and their
diameter reduces,
because of an
acumulation of lipids and
it cause an acumulation
of them.
Heart attack: Is the same as atherosclerosis but it is in
an artery which goes to the heart, and it doesn't work
properly.
Others: high blood pressure, diabetes, obesity...

7. Preventions
A healthy diet, practice exercise, don´t smoke …
