This document describes Accela's Configuration Management solution which provides complete configuration management and consistency analysis across multi-vendor, multi-technology networks. It offers automated inconsistency detection and correction through parameter database checks, reference database comparisons, vendor feature checks, and integration of PM and trace data. Example checks listed include neighbor relations, OSS parameter definitions, geographical checks, and statistical checks using performance and trace data. The solution supports auto-correction of inconsistencies by direct access to network elements and maintains parameter health especially during network upgrades. It has been used by one tier 1 mobile operator for radio access, core, transport and IP networks supporting 37 million subscribers on over 30,000 2G base stations and 24,000 3G nodes.
