Nowata County, Oklahoma is a county banded together through tight-knit communities. It achieved world-renown fame as the world's shallowest oil patch and saw the oil boom build its county and sustain it for years.
As the oil went the community's economy went with it, just as the state's economy. But as the county unites in one mission to grow infrastructure to sustain new business and improve its citizens quality of life, there comes hope for this once affluent county.
The County Development Initiative, led by the new Nowata.com website, strives to reconnect and engage current citizens with their county, support its strong small business network, and serve as the first touch point with relocating businesses and citizens.
It's a holistic approach to better marketing the county to potential businesses and to build upon its small town charm and character.
