• Before you can use all of the content, you
need to activate the multimedia content.
• This is done using an Online Access Code,
which was packaged with your text (next
slide).
• You must register your code with Pearson
in order to use the content
4. Finding Your Code
• For CJ 121 Online,
your textbook was
bundled with an
Online Access
Code Card
• You will need the code
contained within to
access content such as
Presentations, Audio,
etc.
5. To Use Your Code
1. Click on Weekly

2. Next, click the Start
Here! link
3. This will take you to
the Start Here
screen (pictured
next slide)

Click here if you bought your
book as a bundle from the ACC
bookstore and have your Online
Access Key Card
If you bought your book
separately / online, and do not
have an Online Access Key Card,
you may purchase it here
7. Next Step: Registration
• When you click the Start Here button, it
will take you to a registration screen
(pictured on the next slide).
• Click the Register button if this is your first
time creating a Pearson Learning Account.
• If you already have an account, enter your
username and password.

and create a new account
Click here if you are a returning
user and proceed to login
9. Next: License Agreement
• The next screen will take you to a License
Agreement and Privacy Policy with
Pearson (Pictured next).
• Review these documents, then click the I
Accept button to advance to the next
step.
11. Access Information
• The Access Information
screen will appear next
(Pictured next slide).
• This is the screen where
you will enter the code
contained within your
Online Access Code Card.
12. Access Information
Answer the appropriate
response and fill out any
information required
Enter your Access Code here
Click next to verify and finish
13. Finishing Up
• After you click the Next button, it will take
you to an account information screen.
• Fill out the required information and click
Next.
• Review the details at the Confirmation &
Summary screen, and follow any
directions that follow.
14. From here out…
• You will be asked to return to Blackboard.
• For the remainder of your login, you
should be able to access multimedia
content.
• Every time you login to Blackboard, you
will need to click the Start Here button to
establish a connection to Pearson to use
the multimedia content
• You will not have to register each time.
