    • •A nuclear reaction whereas nucleus of an atoms split into two smaller elements •Release large amount of energy, both as electromagnetic radiation and kinetic of fragments •Commonly used fuels are uranium-235 atom and plutonium-239 atom Plutonium Uraniu m
    • Process 1. When atom splits, large amount of energy is released 2. It will heat up the water which turn into 3. The steam will then turn the turbine 4. Thus, generate electricity
    • Advantages No Pollution Does not release harmful gases to the atmosphere. No carbon, acid or sulfur Most concentrated energy so we can control it very well Nuclear power does not take up room More efficient compared to other kinds of fuels
    • Disadvantages Produce radiation which is harmful to living things Harmful waste (Takes long time to be not harmful) Dangerous not managed properly Use as weapon Risk to terrorist attacks
