Some experiences while shadowing in library X
Can apply to both public and academic libraries
Some fun little tidbits I stumbled upon
What can we (as a class) take away from these
experiences

8. …I think this book was…blue?
Looking up reference
resources…just how
reliable are some of
them, even when they’re
recommended by the
reference librarian?
9. Enter Lady Jane Grey…
“The Story of Lady Jane
Grey: Coronation of Glory”
by Deborah Meroff
Why is this book so special?
10. The Explanation?
This book was catalogued in two separate countries
In the United States it is a biography
In Canada (where it was published) it is a historical fiction
While the book contained a works
cited page, the book was written as a
narrative, rather than an account.
Ultimately, it was thrown out as a
reliable resource!
11. Have a happy, delightful end of
the semester everyone!
