It has a cultivatable land, all the season for production for all vegetable, and an agribusiness system that works although it needs to be vastly improved </li></ul><ul><li>The single and most important problem facing the Indian agriculture Industry is the highly inefficient supply chain </li></ul><ul><li>Lack of cold chain Infrastructure 20% all food products in India are wasted </li></ul><ul><li>The surplus of cereals, fruits, vegetable, milk, fish meat and poultry can be processed into value added foods products and marketed aggressively both locally and Internationally </li></ul>
  3. 3. <ul><li>In India , 52 % of total land is cultivable as against 11% in the world </li></ul><ul><li>All major 15 climates exist in India </li></ul><ul><li>There are 20 agro climatic regions and nearly 46 out of 60 soil type in the country </li></ul><ul><li>Sunshine and daylight are ideally suited for all round the year cultivation of crops </li></ul><ul><li>India is the center for biodiversity in plants, animals insects, micro- organism, accounts 17 % animal, 10% fish genetic resource of the globe </li></ul><ul><li>Agriculture contributes 24.2 % of GDP, 15.2%of export and Provides employment to 58.4% of the country’s work force. </li></ul><ul><li>India has 16% cattle, 57% buffalo, 17% goats 5% sheep etc. </li></ul>

Cold Chain <ul><li>Cold chain system that provides a series of facilities for maintaining Ideal storage condition for perishables from the point of origin to the point of consumption in the food supply chain </li></ul><ul><li>The chain need to stat form farm level ( e,g Harvest, methods, pre cooling) and cover up the consumer level or least to the retail level. </li></ul><ul><li>As well organic cold chain reduce spoilage, retains the quality of the harvested product guarantees a efficient delivery to the consumer </li></ul>
